SUMMARY:CSR & ODD Commission - What impact do country risks have on compliance with ESG Vigilance principles in Africa?
DESCRIPTION:As companies face up to the growing weight of their corporate social responsibility, they are also concerned by legislation designed to provide a framework for their duty of vigilance, and which could potentially lead to them being called into question. While there are many similarities between vigilance and anti-corruption measures that enable companies to avoid this kind of legal risk, these similarities are subject to variations depending on the country risks involved. In practice, anti-corruption and vigilance plans are confronted with much greater ESG and corruption risks, depending on the country and territory concerned. In Africa, this is particularly the case in terms of governance. It is therefore appropriate to analyze these issues, through three questions that will structure this commission:- What are the convergences between anti-corruption and ESG compliance issues?- What are the articulations between ESG and Corruption risk analysis systems in countries, particularly in Africa?- What are the country-by-country approaches to ESG risks on the continent?\nSpeakers: \nKeynote speaker :\nMichel SAPIN | Former French Minister of the Economy and Finance | Partner at CABINET FRANKLINPanelists :\nPatrice FONLLADOSA | Chairman of the thinktank (RE)SOURCES | Independent company director | VP Development and Director of CIAN\nEmmanuel MILLARD | Chairman of the DFCG | Corporate Secretary of GROUPE ENDRIX\nJoël PASTRE | Managing Director of GLOBAL RISK PROFILEAnimated by Pierre-Samuel GUEDJ, Chairman of the CommissionPlus d'informations
