Activities

Laure Criqui has 15 years of experience in international urban development. She is an independent consultant specialising in institutional, urban and socio-economic issues related to access to essential services (water, sanitation, waste) and the rehabilitation of precarious neighbourhoods in cities of the South (water, sanitation, waste).

Previously, she worked at Iddri (think-tank for sustainable development and international relations), for the European cooperation of the French Ministry of Sustainable Development and at the French Embassy in Morocco.

She has a PhD from the Ecole d'Urbanisme de Paris and is a graduate of the London School of Economics.

Laure is an active member of various NGOs and professional networks and also teaches in several Masters programmes at SciencesPo Paris, Rennes, Grenoble...

Since 2020, she has been deputy mayor of a rural commune, where she is in charge of communication and citizen participation, inter-communal cooperation, urban planning, and water and sanitation.
