Luc Rigouzzo is Co-Founder of Amethis, an investment fund manager dedicated to responsible investment in Africa and Europe, created in partnership with the Edmond de Rothschild Group.
With more than €850m under management, Amethis makes equity investments in medium-sized companies that are leaders in a variety of sectors and supports them in their regional growth. Luc Rigouzzo was previously Managing Director of Proparco, the French development bank, a member of the Executive Committee of the Agence Française de Développement and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the European Development Finance Institutions (EDFI).
A graduate in agronomy and finance, Luc Rigouzzo devoted the first part of his career to private equity and project financing in the agribusiness sector in Latin America and Asia, first at Proparco and then at IFC. He then created and headed the structured finance department of AFD.
