MAYS MOUISSI

Activities

Mays Mouissi, Franco-Gabonese and a financier by training, left Paris after the coup d'état in Gabon on August 30, 2023, to settle in Libreville, where he was appointed Minister of the Economy and Participations.

Passionate about governance issues, which structure his entire career, he has successively held several positions within the banking sector, firstly at Crédit Agricole from 2011, in charge of the fight against fraud, and then, after a spell at BNP Paribas, at the Crédit Agricole Group's online banking subsidiary, BFORBANK. Before joining the Gabonese government, he was Head of Ethics and Compliance for the Carrefour Group.

Since 2016, Mays has also developed his own firm specialising in economic analysis and regularly carries out impact studies, research notes and forecasts at the request of major institutions (State, ADB, EY, ARISE, Global Integrity, Olam, TNR USA...) and the media (AFP, BBC, TV5Monde, Africa 24...)

Mays Mouissi holds several Masters degrees - Finance, Banking Control and Compliance - as well as various professional certifications (AMF, ITIL Foundation).
