WILFRID LAURIANO DO REGO

Activities

A French-Beninese, Wilfrid joined KPMG in 1988 where he specialised in mergers and acquisitions in the energy, infrastructure and telecommunications sectors, before becoming the first Partner of African origin in 2002.

A member of the Supervisory Board of KPMG France since 2016, he becomes its Chairman from 2019 to 2023. Committed and passionate about public action, Wilfrid was appointed mid-2019 Coordinator of the Presidential Council for Africa by President E. Macron, with the aim of encouraging a renewed partnership between Africa and France by involving civil society and the African diaspora. More recently, he co-founded the think tank "A New Road" dedicated to public debt and financing of African economies, and calls for a new assessment of real rather than perceived risks on the continent.

His economic approach - he holds a Master's degree in economics, is a chartered accountant and an auditor - and his commitment as a citizen will be an asset for our think tank.
